The newly appointed Chairman of BTRC paid a visit to the tomb of Bangabandhu
On the first day of assuming the new responsibility, the newly appointed chairman of Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) Prof. Md. Mohiuddin Ahmed paid deep respect at the tomb of the great architect of independence, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara in Gopalganj.
After offering wreaths in the morning, he visited Bangabandhu's tomb. At this time, the Commissioner of Spectrum Division of BTRC Prof. Sheikh Riaz Ahmed, Commissioner of Finance, Accounts and Revenue Division Md. Mushfiq Mannan Chowdhury, Director General of Administration Department Abdullah Al Mamun, Director General of Spectrum Department Brigadier General Mohammad Moniruzzaman Jewell, Director General of Legal and Licensing Department Ashish Kumar Kundu and other officials of BTRC werepresent. After visiting the tomb, the BTRC Chairman stood in front of Bangabandhu's grave and observed silence for a while. Later he participated in prayers.
Prof. Mohiuddin Ahmed joined BTRC on 30 May 2019 as Commissioner of Engineering and Operations Department and served as Vice-Chairman of the Commission since November 2022. He was appointed Chairman of BTRC on 15 December 2023. He graduated from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in Mechanical Engineering and later obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
